DID YOU KNOW? The North York Storm Girls Hockey League is made up of all volunteers. All coaches and staff on the bench are volunteers; all Executive positions are volunteers. Hundreds of volunteer hours go into running the NYSGHL. Many volunteers go unnoticed, silently working behind the scenes in order to produce a hockey program second to none. This very web site you are reading is manned by a volunteer in order that we can get information out to everyone as it becomes available. Our volunteers are important and imperative to this organization. Why not consider stepping up now - you will meet wonderful people and learn valuable skills. No matter how little time you can give it will help.
We are always looking for new volunteers and if you are interested in helping throughout the year please send us an email.
STUDENTS - looking for Community Service Hours for High School? We are looking for students to fill hours at our Annual North York Storm Tournament. Some teams may also require on-ice help throughout the season. If you are interested in volunteering please contact us and let us know how you can help.
Girls Hockey on the move!
Hockey, the sport of Canada has found a home in the hearts of Canadian girls and women. Statistics tell the story: from 4000 + players in 1986/87 to more than 36,000 in 2006/07, female hockey is growing at a phenomenal rate. This winter is your or your daughter’s chance to get in the action by playing in the North York Storm Girls’ Hockey Club. NY Storm has been providing girls between the ages of 6-18 the opportunity to play hockey in the city of Toronto for the last 15 years. We take great pride in our program which fosters long lasting friendships while developing hockey skills and the spirit of team play in a friendly, family environment. Registration is now open.
